That's the question almost everyone arrives with. Below are the ways I answer it — each a fixed fee, agreed before we begin, starting at $750.
Each service below is a fixed fee, based on its complexity and scope. I'm always upfront about the cost before any work begins — and I encourage you to ask questions.
One-time engagement
For $750, I'll review your existing RRSP, TFSA, and open holdings and deliver a written report covering your current allocation, the fees you're paying, how diversified your portfolio is, and changes you may want to consider. Delivered within two weeks of receiving your statements.
30-day guarantee. If you're not satisfied with the written report for any reason within 30 days, request a refund. Fees may be reversed or reduced for existing or ongoing financial planning or investment clients.
One-time engagement
For $750, I'll deliver an overview of your retirement projections across each of your account types — RRSP, TFSA, RRIF, LIRA and non-registered — so you can see what income each one produces, and when. A shorter, focused look at the ground the full Retirement Readiness Plan covers in depth.
Fees may be reversed or reduced for existing or ongoing financial planning or investment clients.
One-time engagement
For $750, I'll sit down with you and your spouse and walk through your whole financial picture in plain language — what you own, where it is, and exactly what happens to each piece if one of you dies. Most couples have one person who handles the money; this makes sure the other one is never left guessing. You'll both receive a written summary of every asset and what becomes of it — including what passes straight to a spouse, what waits for probate, how your household income changes, and the tax owing at death.
Planning and education, not legal advice. This does not replace your will or your lawyer. Fees may be reversed or reduced for existing or ongoing financial planning or investment clients.
One-time engagement
For $1,750, I'll deliver a complete written plan that addresses your projected income sources across retirement, your withdrawal strategy across account types, your CPP & OAS timing options, and your contingency planning for diverse market scenarios. Eight hours of work, including two hours of walkthrough sessions and one round of revisions. Four-week delivery. Most suitable for those people within ten years of retirement with at least $500,000 in investable assets.
The deposit secures your place in my schedule and is applied to your fee. It is not refunded if you decide not to go ahead.
Fees may be reversed or reduced for existing or ongoing financial planning or investment clients. All plans are quoted in advance after an initial discussion.
One-time engagement
For $4,000, I'll deliver a complete written strategy for your business sale, including pre-sale tax-planning analysis (in coordination with your CPA), a post-sale investment policy statement, a wealth-transfer structure review (in coordination with your attorney), and a lifestyle income projection model. Scoped to the issues we agree on at the outset. Additional work beyond that is billed in $500 allotments.

One-time engagement
Starting at $2,400, I'll deliver a written strategy covering whether an estate freeze fits your situation, how it would be structured, the tax consequences to plan for, and how it sits alongside your will and your overall plan — coordinated with your accountant and your lawyer. Final fee depends on complexity.

All returns are quoted in advance after we review your documents.

Are you a caregiver for someone restricted in mobility, afflicted with a disability, and/or other health conditions? We offer a Free initial review to assess eligibility. If you proceed with a claim, fees are based on the work involved and quoted before we begin.
