Investment & Retirement Accounts

  • TFSA statements
  • RRSP / RRIF statements
  • LIF / LIRA statements
  • RESP statements, for any children
  • RDSP statements, if applicable
  • Non-registered investment statements
  • Workplace pension statements, if any

Insurance in Force

  • Life insurance policies
  • Critical illness and disability insurance
  • Group benefits through work

Family & Personal Details

  • Your age, and your spouse's age
  • Marital status
  • Number and ages of children or other dependants
  • Anticipated retirement age

Business Ownership (if applicable)

  • Corporate and shareholder snapshot (share structure, ownership split)
  • Most recent corporate financial statements — or ask your accountant to share these directly, with your permission

Other

  • Existing will and power of attorney documents, if any
  • Outstanding debts (mortgage, loans, lines of credit)
